Where is powershell 2.0? I thought it was supposed to be released Oct 22nd, along with Windows 7 for XP, Vista, Server, but I can not find anything but release canidates and 1.0. Is Microsoft just behind or am I missing something?

As far as I know, the RTM version of PowerShell 2.0 is not out yet for XP or Vista. From: http://www.**--****.com/ #comments # re: PowerShell V2 Virtual Launch Party Oct 22 is all about Windows 7 (and one of it's best features: PowerShell :-) ). Downlevel releases will be available shortly afterwards. The target is a week afterwards. Experiment! Enjoy! Engage! Jeffrey Snover [MSFT] - Larry
In message < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >, acomputerwiz6 < XXXX@XXXXX.COM > writes It's installed by default on Win7 and Server 2008 R2. It was released for Win7/Server2008 R2. You are missing that a version of PowerShell 2.0 for downlevel OS verstions is still in beta although it should be RTW fairly soon. http://www.**--****.com/ +v2+download+RC -- Thomas Lee XXXX@XXXXX.COM
[rant]We wouldn't be missing it if that information was actually available anywhere. Just try to find it on technet or the MSDN blogs. Unfortunately most of us work in the real world where we won't be installing Windows 7 or Server 2008 r2 the day its released except maybe in the lab. [/rant] So is there any information actually available anywhere as to when and where it'll be available for XP, Vista or 2003?

1.PS 2.0 still asks confirmation to run my script
Hi all, My company test system is made of several virtual machines which run the same PS script. This script is hosted on the host computer, each VM is intalled with PS 2.0 and all VMs are their ExecutionPolicy to "Unrestricted". At startup, the VMs connect a shared drive from the host computer and execute the script stored in this share. But, despite the "Unrestricted" policy, PS still asks confirmation to run the script. For me it's a blocking issue as my test system is intended to run without any human action. This process worked well with PS 1.0, how can I make it work again? Thanks.
2.Expected release date for PS 2.0?
Hi! Roughly speaking, what's the ballpark estimate for when PowerShell 2.0 will go final and be released? Around June of 2008? Next three months? Q4 of 2008? Thanks!!!
3.Is there an available ps 2.0 for XP x64
I'd like to install powershell 2.0 on my machine(XP x64), i only find powershell 2.0 for XP x86, is there an available powershell 2.0 for XP x64? or Can i install for server2003 x64 to instead?
4.Am I running USB 2.0 or 1.1?
I have 10 USB entries in device manager with no devices connected ad 11 when I plug in my USB memory card reader. I am using an HP Pavilion zv5000 notebook and trying to figure out if I have USB 2.0 functionality or not. I have 3 external ports... Device manager shows 5 'root hubs', 2 'Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controllers', 2 'NEC PCI th USB Open Host Controllers', and one 'Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller'. I have received a message saying that I need to plug my Sandisk multi-card reader into a high-speed USB 2.0 so it will run faster- and I thought I was running high speed all this time! Some advice to help me make sense of the hardware profile (10 listings for 3 ports?!?!?!) would be great, thanks!
