  • 2. ExcelXP tagattr=hidden:yes
Hello all, I am creating Excel output using the ExcelXP tagset. I'm trying to suppress some rows of output, but i still want the user to see that output if they want. I can think of two options to do this. A. Hide the rows containing the data not required. B. Set the autofilter to subset the data. (I have no idea how I could do this, even if it's possible) For option A I thought I could do the following: proc report .....; cols .....; define ....; compute status; if status='SCCS version in sync' then do; call define('_col_','style','style=[tagattr=hidden:yes]'); end; endcomp; run; SAS documentation indicates if any cell tagattr is set to hidden:yes then entire row is hidden. This is not working for me, any ideas what I may be doing wrong here. I'm using SAS 9.1.3, v1.85, 04/10/08 version of the tagset.
  • 3. APA Citation of SAS Help
Hi all, I would like to cite several sections of the SAS Help. Can someone provide an example of how to cite SAS Help (both inline and reference). Also, if I want to cite several different pages, do I add a separate citation for each page in the reference section or is it more like a book where you only cite it once? Thanks, Cristian
  • 4. SAS Import and Excel
Do you have to have Excel on your machine in order for Import to work? The log states that the import procedure worked, but I get no observations in my data set. Proc Import out=data1 datafile="c:excelfile.xls" dbms=EXCEL replace; sheet="Sheet1$"; getnames=YES; mixed=NO; scantext=YES; run; Thank you

Neural Network Models of Perception, Action and Embodied Knowledge

Summer School at the Department of Psychology,
University of Bologna, July 13--19, 2005

General Information:

This one-week summer school will introduce students to neural
network models, also known as ``connectionist'' models. These models
have become widespread research tools in psychology and related
disciplines, yet are not covered by many study programmes. The
school combines background lectures on key topics in psychology,
ethology and cognitive science, lectures on how these topics are
studied with neural networks, and tutorials on neural network theory
and simulation.

The complete school programme is available at
http://www.intercult.su.se/~stefano

Speakers:

- Larry Barsalou, Department of Psychology, Emory University
- Anna Borghi, Department of Psychology, University of Bologna
- Angelo Cangelosi, School of Computing, Communications and Technology,
University of Plymouth
- Marco Casarotti, Department of General Psychology, University of Padua
- Umberto Castiello, Department of General Psychology, University of Padua
- Laila Craighero, Department of Biomedical Sciences, University of
Ferrara
- Simone Cutini, Department of General Psychology, University of Padua
- Andrea Di Ferdinando, Department of General Psychology, University
of Padua
- Rob Ellis, School of Psychology, University of Plymouth
- Magnus Enquist, Zoology Institution, Stockholm University
- Maurizio Gentilucci, Department of Neurosciences, University of Parma
- Stefano Ghirlanda, Department of Psychology, University of Bologna
- Art Glenberg, Department of Psychology, University of Wisconsin
- Rob Goldstone, Department of Psychology, Indiana University
- Davide Marocco, Institute for the Science and Technologies of
Cognition, CNR, Rome
- Ian P. L. McLaren, Department of Experimental Psychology, Cambridge
University
- Orazio Miglino, Department of Psychology, Second University of Naples
- Stefano Nolfi, Institute for the Science and Technologies of
Cognition, CNR, Rome
- Domenico Parisi, Institute for the Science and Technologies of
Cognition, CNR, Rome

Padua
- Giorgio Tsiotas, Department of Psychology, University of Bologna
- Giorgio Vallortigara, Department of Psychology, University of
Trieste
- Marco Zorzi, Department of General Psychology, University of Padua

Applications:

The school is open to advanced undergraduates, graduate students and
post-docs with an interest in psychology, ethology, cognitive
science and related disciplines. A maximum of 30 students will be
selected based on CV and their potential to make innovative use of
neural networks. Apply by May 1st, 2005 by sending your CV (PDF
preferred) to Anna Borghi ( XXXX@XXXXX.COM ) or Stefano
Ghirlanda ( XXXX@XXXXX.COM ), and explain in one paragraph
why you want to take part in the school.

The participation fee is 500 Euros, and includes accommodation in
double rooms, coffee breaks and study material. A few studentships
are available, to be awarded preferentially to students from
developing countries and Eastern Europe. Please state whether you
wish to apply for a studentship. Studentships only cover the
participation fee.

NOTE: Fund raising continues, and we may be able to offer more
studentships a
