  • 1. RWW owa connect to computer
I recently installed a SBS 2008 server, I am setting up remote access. I can get owa outlook anywhere working fine. Icannot use connect to computer piece of rww website. I have the sbs web apps set to the internal ip address of the server. The default website is set to all unassigned. I found in order to install a certificate into ts gateway it has to be set to all unassigned ip. So i changed the sbs web apps https to all unassigned and the default website to the internal ip of the server. I was able to install the certificate in ts gateway , the connect to computer works but owa and outlook anywhere stopped. Changed it back and owa okay rdp no. If both websites set to unassigned one does not start. I cannot seem to find a solution to my problem. Getting rww to work for owa, outlook anywhere and connect to a computer. Thanks for any help in advance.
  • 2. can't send mail from server
We can recieve mail without any problems. I can not send mail from the server. I get an error message telling me delivery has been delayed and that message is later followed by an Undeliverable message. I have tried using a smart host, redirecting the mail using an alternate SMTP port service, and using DNS to route mail. AT&T says the PTR record is created.Nslookup reports the correct public IP. This is SBS 2003 Premium. I don't know is ISA is the problem. The company moved and switched from a T1 to Satic IP DSL. I reconfigured the WAN NIC card (using 2 in the server) for the new public IP and thought everything should work. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks.
  • 3. SBS 2008 IAMW crashes during initial setup / Can't configure serve
I am setting up SBS 2008 for the first time and when I get to the (critical) "setup your Internet Address" step, it crashes. I tell it to use an existing domain that I will manage and as soon as I type in the domain name and click configure it immediately crashes and gives me a "Windows SBS 2008 Domain Purchase and Configuration Wizard has stopped working" message. I have scoured the event log and cannot find an entry associated with this event. The only solution I have been able to find online is to run the "Fix my network" wizard, which I have done repeatedly and fixed every problem except the following: Could not configure the router (a given) DNS is using a DNS Forwarder (deliberately) The Internet domain name is not configured (duh) Certificate Authority stopped (haven't got that far yet) Exchange SMTP connectors are invalid (haven't got that far yet) I'm under a lot of pressure to get this up and running, please help!

Trouble with SBS 2003 sp1 install-Outlook 2003 sp1 & MSDE 2000

Postby U3VzYW4gSg » Sun, 09 Oct 2005 10:24:01 GMT

When running sp1 for SBS 2003, I'm having trouble with two Components: 1.
Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 (Service Pack 1) Version 5.0. The error message
in the setup.log is "an error occurred while copying files for the %s
component. See %s for the list of files that were not copied. You may want to
run setup again and reinstall the component. and 2. Server Configuration. The
error message is "MSDE 2000 Service Pack 4 did not install. For additional
instructions, see the SQL Server 2000 Pack Web site at
 http://www.**--****.com/ "
I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what is wrong. I have the
eventlog.txt, the errorlog.txt & setup.log to review. Thanks!

1.Missing Cabs when Installing full file version of OneNote SP1 (and Office 2003 SP1)

Whenever I try to install OneNote 2003 SP1 or Office 2003 SP1 full-file
service packs, I get "missing CAB file" errors.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I have a Toshiba M205 PC, and as
such don't have access to the CABs for OneNote, so I can't install the
missing files from the install media as I don't have any. Needless to say,
I really need the full file version to work.

I get similar errors on the Office 2003 SP1 with missing CABs from
FrontPage 2003.

Thanks,
Simon

2.Office 2003 SP1: error can't install SP1

Downloaded office2003sp1-kb842532-fullfile-nld.exe

When I choose to install and accept the license, the
computer is busy for a while with extracting the files.

Then the dialog comes: can't install this update (in
Dutch: "Kan de update niet installeren."

Who can help?

3.SBS 2003 SP1 and Outlook 2003

Hi,

When trying to install SP1 on DBS 2003 my install logs are showing an error
with Outlook 2003. Apparently according to the document i need to install
outlook 2003 in to the client apps folder to stop this message.

Not being a sbs guru, can someone point out how i do this.

4.SBS 2003 / SP1 / Outlook Express Fails

After loading SP1 my Outlook Express clients can no longer download their
email from my SBS2003 server. To test I used a telnet client on port 110.
I was able to logon the user, the list command works but when the RETR
command is sent there is no response from the server. I un-installed SP1 and
everything works fine. The SP1 firewall was NOT running. Any ideas?
