  • 1. Cross Member counting
Hello, I have a requirement where I need to be able to provide a count on the intersection of activity. It should look something like this: Dept Name Dept 1 Dept 2 Dept 3 Dept 1 10 2 5 Dept 2 2 12 4 Dept 3 5 4 8 Background: The OLAP system will be used for reporting of peoples interaction with differing departments. A person can have been to 1, or more, departments. The users want to be able to get a count of how many people have been to department A, department B, and department A and B. Any help in pointing me in the correct direction would be appreciated. Fred

1.RS 2000 Enterprise Edition and SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition

I must prepare a RS 2000 installation.
I have a web server and a db server, the last one with SQL Server 2000
Standard Edition.
I would install RS 2000 on the web server and the related RS db on the
database server. Can I do it with RS 2000 Enterprise Edition?

Many thanks for your suggests.

2.are all SQL 2000 Server Wizard included in SQL 2000 Server Standard Edition

right now we use the SQL 2000 Server Developer Edition to
make tests, but we would like to buy SQL 2000 Server. Does
the SQL 2000 Server STandard Edition include all the
WIZARDS that are also included with the Developer or
Enterprise Edition (when I highlight a database in
Enterprise Manager, go to "Tools" and "Wizards").

Can anyone help?

Thanks for reply.

3.Developer Edition to Standard Edition (SQL SERVER 2000)

I Need to migrate from SQL SERVER 2000 Developer Edition to Standard

I install the Standard Edition CD, but it was so fast. (I use the replace
option) I didn't see the normal installation process... copying, etc.

It is ok doing that way?

In my Developer Edition, I had the SP3a, now... after installing the
Standard Edition it still is SP3.
Did I do the right way?

Any suggestions???
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

4.SQL 2000 Enterprise Edition to SQL 2005 Standard Edition

Does anyone have any experience with in-place upgrade of SQL 2000 ENTERPRISE
Edition => SQL 2005 STANDARD Edition? According to Microsoft upgrade path,
it's SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition SP3 or later => SQL Server 2005
Enterprise Edition. The only way that I can think of right now is to
downgrade the SQL2000 instance to Standard. But this will require a lot of
work. I want to avoid this. Also, I want to avoid doing the side-by-side
upgrade, too.
