SYSTEM NEWS FOR SUN USERS
Vol 154 Issue 2 2010-12-11 Article 23717 from section "Software"

     latencytop

The second part of the multi-part series on what's new in Oracle
Linux deals with latencytop, a new utility that is available as both
a console tool and a GUI application. Latencytop, the blog notes,
helps users identify where latency in the system affects the
performance of an application, one that is either busy or
non-responsive. The blog presents an example of a GUI version of
latencytop surveying a program that is involved with creating
millions of files in a directory.
