    I would appreciate if someone would take a look at Visio for Enterprise Architects and tell me the build number. I'm trying to determine if the version I'm running is 2002 or 2003. My build number is 10.0.2705 and I'm under the impression that it's Visio 2003 but Microsoft Update indicates a service pack for 2002 should be installed. -- Regards, Fred Chateau fchateauAtComcastDotNet

    I just posted a related topic, but i have a new question. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to maintain a 100 page document of schematics without having to save the entire 50 MB doc each time i make a simple change? I'd thought about having a master file that opened up within it each of the pages, but that takes away the capability to make a global search of all pages (for a certain component, for example), among other benefits of having a single file.
  • 4. FILE SIZE LIMITS!? IMPORTING FROM OTHER VISIO FILES?
    I have 80 11" x 17" pages of schematics that I am thinking about putting into one file. The file will gradually grow over time but shouldn't exceed 150 pages. Before I go about doing this and possibly waisting my time, I want to know if anyone knows of number-of-page or file-size limits. I've read of 400+ pages, but still, I would like to find out if a 100 page document will be slow or cumbersome. Also, could someone please tell me how to import a sheet from one visio file into another. Thanks
  • 5. Using 'variables' in Visio drawings?
    Hi, I have over 400 pages in my Visio file. I would like to use numbers in many of the pages and these numbers should be set in a 'common' page or property field. The result should be that only by updating these numbers (variables) in one location, all the other pages have their numbers updated to this value (like a variable). Is this possible in Visio 2003? Think of modifying the shape directly in the stencil document of your
drawing. All the shapes of you drawing will be automatically modified

This is not a good practice but in some case it can help.

I update formula in my Master Shape. Right Click on Master Shpae (Show
ShapeSheet > Line Format > LineColor entered "=If...") but my shapes at page
(nearly 500 shapes on the page) in the properties LineColor have value "2". I
can update all shapes parametr (properties) from "2" to my new formula
"=if..."
