Have recently implemented wireless for the hospital I work for. • 3. wall snap
I try to make walls, but when I make a 3-inch thick wall segments shorter than 7 inches, they snap to zero-length and sometimes rotate. I turn off the "Tools>Options>Security tab>Enable Automated Events" button, but the walls do not snap or glue to each other. They also leave their outlines overlapping "adjoining" walls with this setting off.
  • 4. Visio 2000 Pro Service Pack/s Question
I had a major disaster stike my Windows 2000 Pro developer's box and I am attempting to re-install the software. Managed to catch everything up but my Visio Pro 2000 (6.0.1245). Also reinstalled and applied all the SPs for Office 2000 Premium (upgraded from original thru SR1 to SP2). I wasn't able to install or upgrade Visio at the time since it was an 'upgrade' and it took me awhile to round up all the old disks. So I have Office all caught up, and now only Visio is giving me a hard time. When I attempt to install Visio 2000 SP2, it complains that I have to have SR1. Microsoft no longer supplies a separate Visio 2000 SR1 service pack. When I attempt to apply Office SR1 it complains that its the wrong version (probably because it is SR1 and SP2 has already been applied). (I have the same problem when I attempt to install the VisualModeler Addin, but that is another issue - figure if I solve the first one, this will follow. As all the addins apparently need SR1) So where do I go from here? What simple step am I missing? -ralph

Arc of fixed radius

Postby U3dhbnNlYSBKYWNr » Wed, 17 Sep 2008 18:32:05 GMT

Hi All

I'd like to draw an arc [i.e. a segment of a circle] of fixed radius and
length [e.g. 90 degree arc with a radius of 100mm] - is there a simple way to
do this ?

It is to connect to perpendicular lines together as part of an engineering
drawing, so it needs to be accurate. I guess there is a way to do this, but I
just can't see it !!!

I'm using Visio 2003.

Thanks :)

Have a look in the Drawing Tool Shapes stencil (Pro version, not
Standard) or use the shape search for 'Arc - numeric'.

Thanks Paul,

Arc.Numeric2 seems to do the trick !

3.Radius VideoVision Studio nubus card drivers & s/w needed

Greetings:

Posted links for archives of the Radius VideoVision nubus card software
are all dead. We just acquired a Quadra 950 equipped with this board
as well as two SuperMAC Thunder II ver 3.0.0 cards. The system drive
(2GB Barracuda) is dead (heads won't load, drive 'pings' every two
seconds) so we have to find the software for these boards elsewhere.

All help is very much appreciated.

4.Curve radius

I use Visio 2000 (SP2) and have Accident Reporting and Crime Scene
add-ins to create scale diagrams of traffic accident scenes. Is there
any way to automate curve length, chord and radius? Any tip that allows
the use of the "Size & Position" window would be most helpful, but any
tip at all will be appreciated!
I have used Visio since 2000 came out and am comfortable with it, i.e.,
I can use it to automate other shapes, but I dont see any where to
automate curves!!!
Thank you in advance!

5.Control radius of rounded corners

Is there a way to control the radius of rounding for the rounded
corners of a rectangle? I opened up the shape sheet, and it looks
like it might be controlled in the "Geometry 1" table. Ideally, I'd
like the rounding radius to scale with the minimum of the height and
width, but manually specifying it would be just as good.

Thanks.
