I am having toruble grouping all elements of my Visio drawing for into one single group

Experts,

I am having trouble grouping all elements of my Visio drawing for into one
single group. I need to do this so I can copy and paste the drawing into MS
Word. Currently when I copy and paste not all the elements carry through
into the MS Word doc.

What kind of trouble do you have? Is it that you can't group all elements at
all?
Is it that you can group all elements but only a part of that group appears
in Word (e.g. the lower left corner of the Visio drawing)?
Or do you successfully group all elements but pasted into Word the complete
drawing lacks a few elements?

BTW. Why don't you follow the thread dated Dec. 8?

It appears that I successfully group all elements but when pasted into Word
the complete drawing lacks a few elements.

Maybe some elements are assigned to layers which are not part of the
grouping.
If you copy and paste to a new blank Visio drwg. page rather than to Word -
are those elements still missing?

1.How Can I Create a array of Selecton Class & Group all them one by one

Hi I want to use a array of selection,because how many will group
will be there I dont know,I want to use that array of selection make
as group one by one .

But I am getting Exception--Requested Operation is presently disabled.

the code what I am using is like that.

string[] AreaArray=null;
Visio.Selection[] SelectionArray=null;
window.SelectAll();
 window.DeselectAll();

for loop
{
    SelectionArray = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.Visio.Selection[1];
     SelectionArray[index] = window.Selection;

SelectionArray[index].Select((Visio.Shape)ArrayofDropShape.GetValue(index),
2);
}

Visio.Shape[] ArrayofGroupshape = new
Visio.Shape[SelectionArray.Length];
for loop
{
  ArrayofGroupshape[i] = SelectionArray[i].Group();////This statement
is giving me exception;
  shapeText = ArrayofGroupshape[i].Characters;
  shapeText.Begin = shapeText.End;
  shapeText.Text = AreaArray[i];
}

2.Group of multiple shapes each having its own custom properties

I am trying to build a network diagram with extensive detail. For example a
server shape with a hard drive shape and nic shape all grouped together.
When I click on the server I want to see a summary of information about the
server. When I click the hard drive and or nic shapes that are nested on the
server shape I will see the detailed custom properties about each of those
devices.

I had though about hyper linking to another sheet with that detail but if I
can do it within the same shape that would be cleaner and easier. If there
is a better way than I am thinking would also apprechiate it.

Thanks

3.un-group and un-constrain all the class diagram elements

Hi. I have an UML class diagram that I have to paste inside another
Visio diagram. The destination diagram is not UML, it's A3 printed
sheet formatted to match some rules (borders, table for description in
the corner etc).

I want to make class digram bigger and then make it better visually -
e.g. move some labels around and resize stuff. However there are
problems, namely (as in the original class diagram) I cannot move
connection end labels around and I cannot change block height.

I tried all kinds of options like disabling the protection, adding to
new layers etc, but nothing seems to fix this; say if I remove w/h
consrtaints from connection end label the resizing handlers become
"active" but when I drag them nothing happens. The same is true for
the rest of the options. Ungrouping is also blocked by some
"restrictions"

Is there any way to put the pasted diagram into FFA mode, allowing me
to do whatever I want with it?

4.grouped shape with mutliple custom properties set, only a single f

activating multiple properties to fields already set in a GROUPED shape,
i created a simple shape with 10 boxes, grouped into one shape, so on custom
properties it comes up with dialogue entry for x10 values.. GREAT ...
When i attempt to add the text fields for each of the ten properties ....
visio only allows one field allocating only ONE of the 10 properties created
