I'm pretty green with respect to Visio. Are there ways to automatically generate C++ code from UML diagrams or vice versa? If not, is there a way to export all text from a diagram so that I can at least copy and paste the text into source code? TIA, -Vic

Hello, I've found it in the old enterprise edition of viso but now I'm using visio2003. I'd like to add a few specific server shapes such as the Dell PowerEdge 2650, 6400 and a few specific routers such as the 2500 and 2600 series. I can't seem to figure out where those shapes are. Can someone let me know what this old fool is doing wrong? Thanks

I've done flowcharts & UML in Visio (very easy!, but trying to create a phone tree is proving difficult. 1. Should I do this as a Block Diagram? a. If so, what type of connections? I can place squares and use the "Dynamic Connector", but this is very manual. I've tried using the "Multi-tree square", but am only able to lock onto one box per branch. 2. Is there a better diagram type then Block? And if so, what is the best connection type between the boxes? To clarify, I am trying to create a phone tree for several 1-800 numbers that have many many options available. Thanks!

2.java data types in VISIO

I am trying to create a design model for a java application using the UML
capabilities of Visio.
I can see only C++ and VB data types. I dont see any plugins on the web for

Is there any way to do this, or does Microsoft not want people to design for
java applications in VISIO.

3.Class Diagram -> no java data type? How can I manually create data

Sean,

I'm afraid you will have to create your own Java Datatype for Java. The
only thing that comes close is C# Data types.
