  • 3. Plotting Access Table's Contents into a Visio document
Hello: I am trying to pick up a discussion that I had in another thread, but where we were unable to clarify a question. I am doing some research on how to link Access data into Visio, so that my visio structure chart can be updated from Access. I am NOT looking for a chart of all my tables, plotted into a visio (article: "Visio-Based Database Modeling in Visual Studio .NET") I am looking for an output into a Visio chart, from data (structure) contained in a table. I then need to be able to update that chart from the original access table. I understand that formatting may not be updatable and that's ok. However, if someone is aware of how that may be automated, I would appreciate any information for that as well. I am really just looking to be be pointed to an appropriate article/write-up on knowledgebase ( or on so that I can read up on it. I basically do not know the topic I should be searching for. Microsoft's descriptions always deviate (sooner or later) from the "simple." Thanks, pepe

We currently have a Visio 2003 Trial Version installed. Will an Open License
Activation key work in this instance? Do we need to purchase the Open
License media to get a permanent product? Thank you

Each time I try to activate the software for the trial version - a dialogue
box appears with the following:

A communication error has occured. Please try back in a few minutes.

2.Converting Trial Version to Licensed Version

We downloaded the trial version of Visio Pro 2003. We bought a volume
license from our usual vendor, got an email directing us to the eOpen
website, and retrieved the product key.

Every attempt to convert from the trial version using this product key
results in a message that the product key is not valid. The product key is
for Visio Pro 2003 Win32 English OLP NL. I have two keys, one for Office
2003 Applications and one for Office XP Applications. Neither key works.

The system where the software is installed has no other Office applications
installed, but it there is an instance of MSDE running. Also, the system is
a Windows 2003 Server.

Any ideas?

3.trial version activation

I just downloaded and installed the trial version of visio 2003, but when I
tried to activate it using the wizard, it keeps coming up with : "your
product key is not valid, uninstall and enter a valid key"

I got the PID from the download instruction email sent to me from the
Microsoft website, so I can not understand why the product id is not working.
Maybe it's case sensitive? Can someone please help?

4.Activation of trial version

I downloaded the 30 day trial version but the product will not let me use it.
I followed the directions and entered the PID on the email I received but the
activation window says it's invalid. I tried caps on/ caps off and re entered
the PID many of times and still come out invalid. Any ideas?
