  • 1. VEA UML Reports
Hi all, I've installed Visio EA that came with VSTS but am having problems running any of the reports; when I try to run any reports (UML > Report) I get the message "UML report drivers are not installed. Cannot run UML reports". Additionaly, for some reason when trying to go to help, I get the message "Cannot open the file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Visio11\2057\Vis_all.CHM". I've tried reinstalling several times, including on a machine with a clean build, and still get the same errors. Any, and all, advice appreciated! Thanks, Dave
  • 2. how to build this diagram with dynamic links
Hi All, I need to build a world map with names of countries around the world where the factories are located, and when I click on specific country name it links to the results of a query in Access which carries details of prodcuts in that location Questions: 1) Can I build this model in MS Visio, and if so how can I bring this World map into a visio drawing. 2) And if I can successful do so , how do I set up this dynamic link on a contry name such that when I click on it, it links to an excel sheet(the results of the Access query exported to an excel sheet),Or 3) Is there any better method to acheive the same result. Please Advice. Thank You
  • 3. How to control anti-aliasing in Visio?
A while back I created some diagrams in Visio and they came out with these smooth anti-aliased lines (with no effort on my part). Now when I modify those (or any other Visio drawing), I lose the anti-aliased effect. I love to know how to get the anti-aliased look back. Thanks, Mark P.S. I'm using Visio Professional 2003 SP2 if it matters.

Visio 2007 Std - problem with shape data

Postby Christian Francke » Fri, 12 Oct 2007 17:06:21 GMT

Hi,

I added a couple of shape data to a shape (Server shape). I recognized that
my labels are switched in lines. Like I define a label called "IP address"
it used to be in line 2. Sometime in between it moved to line 5. Don't know
why. But some more strange things happened. I defined a label "data centre"
I gave it a type "fixed list" and entered some info's there. Everything
looked fine I checked OK and in between again I recognized that my type
"fixed list" was gone. The label was still there but the type changed to
"string" and my values are gone. Every time I try to fix it back it won't
take my changes. I don't get any error messages that I entered a wrong value
or wrong spelling or sort of that. Some other labels were also switched back
from fixed or variable list to string and the data was lost also. There
seems to be no pattern why this happens. Any idea?

The system is a German Windows XP SP2 (fully patched) laptop machine.
English Office 2003 SBS SP3 (fully patched) and English Visio 2007 standard
(fully patched) installed.

Thanks for help.

Kind regards

Chris
