  • 1. Which template should I use?
Hello, I'm trying to make a simple flow chart of some web site page and data flow that includes user input some key info that is passed to varioius paths through the site and special pages. I'm not a programmer and don't understand any of the shapes for progamming charts and I dont need that level of sophistication anyway... I need to be able to show flow and key descion point logical flow and some small page capures... But it is really more than just a web site page layout so that doen't fit the billl I don't see in Visio 2003 where it defines what each shap is commonly used for... is there a place I can find that info? Mainly, which template should I use to get started? Thanks much, Bruce Searl Thememagic.com

  • 3. Table Notes
Hi I have a database schema in Visio 2002 pro to which I have added notes for the fields in each table. However, I do not seem to be able to print or extract these notes. Apparently you can only do this with enterprise edition. I cant believe it would allow you to add notes without being able to use them. Can anyone help ? Thanks Rob

Does someone have a good Visio template to document software
architecture? I need a good intituitive drawing that will include both
the tasks (proecesses and threads) and data structures. Any ideas or
suggestions of other tools that can do this well?

Thanks,
Chirag

You might find SDL/MSC suitable for your needs:

IMHO, UML is a dumbed down version of SDL.
SDL can document all your processes from high level down to the
smallest detail and MSCs (message sequence charts) can be used to show
their interaction graphically (better than UML sequence diagrams).
Sandrila can do the UML stuff, too, as well as TTCN and User
Requirements Notation.

EventStudio System Designer 2.5 supports software architecture
documentation via
detailed sequence diagrams. It supports static and dynamic task and
thread
creation, deletion and resource manangement.

I am using Visio Standard 2002 (10.0.525) on Windows 2000.
I need to create ER or UML static structure diagram using
Visio. This option was available in Visio 2000 but I don't
see it in Visio 2002. Any ideas how this can be done in
Visio 2002 ?

Thanks in advance.
