  • 1. Resizing a package
I am using the UML template in Visio 2003. When I add a package to a Static Structure diagram, I want to resize the package based on classes that I want to add to fit inside it, not the amount of text in the package name. How do I turn off text-based resizing. also, how do I turn on the vertical resize handles? Only the horizontal handles work for resizing.

  • 5. Run Macro Behavior Problem
I have a Visio 2003 drawing with multiple hyperlinks to a second Visio drawing. In order to make certain that the user closes the second drawing without inadvertantly closing the first, I've created a "ThisDocument.Close" macro to close the second drawing. The macro runs fine from the Tools window, but when I assign it to a shape using the Behavior function I get an error message: run-time error '-2032465766 (86db089a)' Requested operation is presently disabled Any suggestions?

All I wish is to find a blank template with database diagram symbols on it.

1.Can Team Database import a Visio database diagram?

I know Visual Studio Team Database Pro can import a schema from a database,
but can it do it from a Visio database diagram?

Or must I first export the scripts out of Visio, run them against a blank
database, and then import the schema from the database into Team Database?
That sounds a bit awkward.

Thanks for any response,
Ron

3.Resize Database Entities in a reverse engineered database diagram

I need to resize the table and relationship objects in a Visio 2003 diagram
that is the result of reverse engineering a SQL database.

I removed the protection properties for these objects which enabled the
sizing handles. However, any attempts to resize the objects are simply
ignored.

I checked the layer properties and the Lock attribute is not set.

I am coming up short searching on this topic.

thanks in advance for any help.

4.Printing the database properties from a Visio database diagram

I presume you mean Reports under the Tools menu. Yes, but that seems to focus
more on shapes. I don't need the shapes. I need the schema information in a
spreadsheet kind of format.

Thanks.
