Hallo, Tried to find the differences between Visio 2003 standard and professional. Can't find them. Who can tell my what the differences are. My main use would be to visualize tables in Micosoft Access and there relationships. If i understand it correctly this can be done direct form Visio 2003. But wich version ;-) Regards, Harmannus

  • 3. Unable to Change Case in Org Chart in Field
We are currently moving our org charts into Visio and are new to the program; we have imported an Excel table into Visio 2003 (11.3216.5703) using the Org Chart Wizard. We are able to apply initial caps to all fields except for field 2. Does anyone know what causes this and a way to workaround it? We do not want to have our data entry person have to retype the data in the format we require. • 4. From Green to RED
I opened this file and have tried to modify connections between shapes. The segments connecting the shapes have on both ends green boxes. When I move this segment near a connection point on a shape, it does not turn red....... WHY? This is driving me nuts ! Thanks for your help. Luke

I am using Visio 2007, how do you store or organize the stencils you most
often use into "favorites"?

Thanks,

1.Your favorite (collaborative) revision+annotation system for LaTeX?

Hi,

[This post is a request for others posting suggestions about / experiences
with some (possibly custom) revision+annotation system for LaTeX]

I recently had a discussion with a friend about one of the disadvantages
of getting a workgroup of people who often collaboratively work on written
work (papers/reports/...) to use LaTeX: lack of an easy revision control
system, with a focus on a good way to add annotations. (Something which
is built into Word, for example.)

I am aware of the svninfo and similar packages that allow one to interact
with a project in an svn (or similar) repository. Interact, as far as I
know, here means: get descriptive data from the repository.

The thing that we would like to be able to do is this, *and* easily add
annotations (i.e., remarks/suggestions/... about the text). People
usually read the text on-screen, usually in pdf format. So I guess we
need some kind of inverse search for pdf (multiplatform), and some
\annotation command from some (hypothetical) annotation package.

Would it be easily doable to put the annotations in some separate (patch)
file? Is that a good idea?

I hope the above gives you enough of an idea about what I am looking for.
Please reply freely with suggestions and your own experiences/experiments;
no need to stay very on-topic, digressions might be interesting.

2.Managing teh Favorites Stencil

How do I remove a shape from the Favorites Stencil?

3.how do I select favorite shapes in visio

How do i designate a set of my most frequently used shapes so that the
stencil automatically opens each time i start visio?

4.Favorites.vss corrupt (Visio 2003, Windows 2000)

When I open visio file A, no problems.
When I open visio file B, I get:

The file :\Documents and Settings\user.name\My Documents\My Shapes\
Favorites.vssis part of the workspace but cannot be opened. The
file cannot be opened because itis corrupt.

I shut down visio and erase the file, but the behaviour is unchanged.
Thanks for any insight. Last thing I want to do is request a
reinstall.

5.Favorite Shapes

Does anyone know how to load all your "favorite" shapes at
one time, rather than the "one-by-one" approach?

Also, is there a way to set your defined "favorite" shapes as
default whenever you open Visio?

Thanks,
