  • 3. Visio Layers To PowerPoint
Hello, I have a feeling this is not possible but thought I'd make 100% sure. I have a page with layers in Visio 2003, the goal being to display/not display various layers depending on the situation. I'd like to incorporate this drawing (with layers) into PowerPoint 2003, with the capability of showing/hiding layers. Is this possible at all? Thanks!
  • 4. Visio Reader doesn't detect go to page behavior
Objects were set to the 'go to page' behavior using Format > Behavior > Double Click. The workbook was saved as ReadOnly and sent to users who have Visio Reader/2003/and 2007. Users with 2003/2007 had no problems; users with Reader got a Properties and Settings prompt. In our environment Reader is deployed with Internet Explorer. Pls help resolve.
  • 5. Save as webpage - zoom to an area by default - how?
When a visio drawing is saved as a web page - is it possible to tweak the webpage files to make the web page zoom in to a particular area of the drawing by default? We have a large visio drawing to be displayed on our intranet & the idea is that when clicking on different links (in an imagemap which i'll create), the user is brought to specific areas of the drawing. We can't split the drawing up into separate pages, it must stay as one drawing, as it will be updated repeatedly over time. I hope this makes sense ... I'm new to Visio so don't know the best way of doing things .... have spent ages playing around and hunting on google to no avail :( Any tips most appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

Linking objects between pages

Postby Q3liYWg » Fri, 15 Oct 2004 08:57:03 GMT

When working on large E-R diagrams, I quite often split them across different
tabs/pages so that they're easy to print. Usually I'll do this by copying one
table to another page, so there is a duplicate. Is there a way to link the
two tables such that making changes to one will also update the copy on other
pages? If not, can this facility be added?

1.Linking objects between document pages: Resolved

Al,

That was my problem, I didn't realize there was a difference between the
master stencil and the document stencil. Once I started using the document
stencil from File>Stencils>Document Stencil I was able to get my changes to
propagate through the entire document. It makes so much more sense now.

Thanks for your help,

JDCK

2.Print Visio page with imbedded object link

Is there a way to print a visio document along with imbedded object links? I
have a Visio diagram, that has word objects linked, and I'd like to print the
visio, as well as the attached links. Possible?

3.Linking objects between document pages

I have a document that has several pages with the same detailed object which
needs frequent updates. I am looking for a way to make changes to the object
once and have the change propagate to the other objects on all of my other
pages. Is there some way that I could use the "paste link" function or
something that works similar. "Paste link" will only allow me to paste a
link from another visio document not from an object on a different page of
the same document. I would really appreciate some direction on this

Thanks,
