If I have a department of support personnel, each member of this department wants to be an administrator of their individual layer (updating, deleting etc ..). Firstly, are layers assigned to users, or are they assigned to the main drawing? Secondly, how can Visio assign these rights to each member of the team, do they have to open up or create a new layer themselves or can a SU do that for them? Thanx

I have created a doc in Visio 2003 and want to save it so it can be opened by someone who has Visio version 5. How do I do this? The only option I seem to have for saving to a previous version is back to Visio 2002.

Hi, I've drawn all the property lines of a rather difficult lot (no parallel lines, no right angles) and would like to temporarily rotate the entire lot such that one of the property lines is perpendicular on my drawing page. This will simplify drawing the house and landscape plans since the house parallels this one prop. line. After the drawing is complete, I'd like to then rotate it back to its current position so North is up. I cannot figure out how to accomplish this, as trying to rotate the entire lot via the rotation handle does not allow me to get it exactly perpendicular and changing the angle of that prop. line throws everything out of whack. Thanks, Phil

I'm using Visio 2002 SR2. I want to do some meal planning & need
hours/minutes not days/weeks/months/years. Is there an add-in or update to
Visio that will allow this?

The timeline stencils were enhanced in Visio 2003 and supports timelines
down to the minute.

1.Change the timescale in Gantt chart hours/minutes

I am trying to use the Gantt chart to layout a process that happens across a
couple of hours not a couple of days. The process has multiple independent
and dependant parts. I want to know if there is a way to change the major
unit to hours and the minor units to minutes in the Gantt chart. Thanks for
any help.

2.Time delay of minutes when ActiveX control is loaded

I am using the Visio 2003 ActiveX control in a .NET 2.0 application.
The problem is a time delay of minutes on certain computers when the Visio
2003 ActiveX control is loaded. Probably caused by the control trying to
access the internet and waiting for response.

The problem does not arise when there is no network connection or access is
blocked by a software firewall.

How can I disable internet access for the ActiveX control? Or is there an
alternative solution to not have the Visio control locking my application.

Best regards

3.Reporting on Custom Properties -- Duration of time in minutes (em'

I created a custom property to track Duration for processes. I assigned
Minutes as the format and for the duration I applied from 1 minute to 5
minutes for the various proceses. When I run a report it comes out as 1440
em's (for 1 minute) to 7200 em's (for 5 minutes). What is an em? How can I
get it to show in simple minutes?

Thanks!
