  • 1. Org Chart Morph?
I want to be able to take a current state org chart in Visio and morph it into a future state. I know I can do the normal animation, but want something slicker and smoother. Should I look at doing it in Flash or another program and then running it inside Visio? It will eventually run in a Powerpoint presentation. Thanks for any suggestions.

We have just bought an application that uses Visio to create org charts. The application was developed using Visio 2002 Professional, we however have Visio 2000 and it seems we do not have the correct libraries for the VB code to run. Can you tell us where we can download the latest version of these libraries please?

Dear all, I hope someone can help me out with the following thing. I have the visio version 2003. And have made a drawing and saved this as webpage. In the drawing I have make some hyperlinks that are linked to web sites on the internet. Question: How can I configure the hyperlink that it doesn't open the linked page in the same window. If it is possible I won't to open every hyperlink in a new window. With kind regards, T. Cartel

Is the a good way to be able to tell the version of Visio that was used to create a .VSD file? I'm particularly interested in being able to tell the difference between Visio 5 and Visio 2002 files so I can use the appropriate automation techniques. Thanks... John Be

Hi Siggiari,

In Visio 2003, if you output the other Visio drawings to html and place them
on a webserver, you can then link directly to the subpages using parameters.
In the master Visio drawing, within the hyperlink dialog - browse and link
to anchors in the other html output. See the hyperlinks dialog online help
for information.

1.Linking between Visio files which have been published as a web

I've been testing it out and trying to find what parameters you are refering
to. I don't seem to find it as the parameters aren't visible in html files
saved from Visio. I only see the # mark at the end and that is it. I tried
useing number of page and name of page as a parameter but it doesn't work.

On the other solution. There aren't any anchors in the visio pages that i
can link to and if i try to link directly to the html files i get the same
error as i talked about earlier. I can't find any help in the help files.

I just need a little bit more detailed description on how to do things...

With excuses on not getting it the first time and thanks for the help,
Siggi Ari

2.I am having toruble grouping all elements of my Visio drawing for into one single group

Experts,

I am having trouble grouping all elements of my Visio drawing for into one
single group. I need to do this so I can copy and paste the drawing into MS
Word. Currently when I copy and paste not all the elements carry through
into the MS Word doc.

3.I am having trouble opening the trial version of Office & Visio

I downloaded both 2007 Office and 2007 Visio as a trial. I currently use
either XP student and home or professional (can't remember). Anyway, every
time I try to open the file, it starts, asks me if I want to run or save, and
then gets stuck in a loop. Any ideas?

4.I am having a problem with Visio not printing the last character

I have a 8200 Xerox printer and it will not print the last character in a
word. It will cut off about half of the last character in a word.

I also have a 850 printer and it works fine. You would think it would
printer related but some drawings where the font is smaller, like 10 pt, it
works fine. Font like 100 pt get's cut off in the 8200 only.

Does anyone have a idea?

5.Publish to Web - Cursor on Linked Shapes

Is there a way that I can specify a different cursor to be displayed when the
mouse passes over a shape with a hyperlink? I know how to define a ToolTip
using visEquivTitle in a user defined cell in the ShapeSheet, but I would
like to have the cursor change too.

Many thanks

Steve
