  • 1. "Updating Directory Cache"
    I recently had to install a new hard drive and re-install software, including Visio 2002. After installation I went to run Visio and got window stating "Please wait while Visio Updates its Directory Cache." The progress bar will reach 100% and then just hang. After a while it stops responding and I need to close out of the program. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Jess (I am also posting this in the Visio, Installation newsgroup)

    Hey t here, I imported some Visio drawings into Microsoft Word. I can see the text in my drawings when I open Word, but when I print my document, the text in the Visio drawings is not printed out. I can, however, see the rest of the drawing ok. Arnaldo

    In Visio 2003, I've created a very large organisation chart and after synchronising and distributing it on different pages.It seems very unreliable, as the first manager updates are changed in every single page, but subsequent updates on the subordinates don't show at all on the following pages.Was wondering if someone knows why? Also can how should we go about inserting a background picture in every single page,something like a letterhead? thanks alot Vivek

Errors converting a DWX file into Visio 2007. I am not sure how to AVOID
this? I tried to delete or UNselect the layers to make it work, I did NOT
select to show the 3d layers and tried to delete them however it would not
let me.
This is the log file when I try to import. It then goes on and on and on
trying to convert.

I am trying to save a Visio file with an imported CAD and Visio call out

call outs; the CAD image disappears. I've tried grouping all the objects,
ungrouping & selecting all, and ungrouping & having no objects selected and
still only the Visio call outs export.
