  • 1. Display TIF and PDF in VB.NET
    Nothing fancy, I just want a control to display PDF and TIFF files in VB, and perhaps let me zoom in and out of the image and scroll around. I don't need to edit or do anything complex, just view the stuff. Surely there is a built-in (i.e. FREE) control that will let me do this? I am aware of the Acrobat Viewer control that you get when you install Acrobat Viewer on your PC, but it doesn't cope with TIFFs. Is it possible to use the Web Browser control to do this somehow? I tried but with no success. Any help appreciated! -- Andy, MCDBA

  • 5. Checkbox and images for a listview?
    Hi all, I am trying to write an inventory program for our office. I am using a listview with the style of 3-Report. In the first column I am trying to put a checkbox and the second column I want a picture/thumbnail of the item. The next 9 columns will be descriptions, prices, quantities, etc of the item. How can I put in a check box and an image with the Report style of the listview? Thanks in advance, George

Yes, it sounds like you need to use a RichTextBox. The standard textbox
doesn't support formatting.

2.Text box formatting moves text box

In normal Word usage I can change the text margins and size of a text box
using the Format Text Box dialogue and the text box stays in the same
position. However, when I try to do the same operations while recording a

on OK. How can I stop this happening, or at least edit the macro so the
position of the text box is not altered?

3.Controlling text withing a text box control

I am looking for a text box control that will allow me to
manipulate the look of individual words as they are typed

Does anyone know of a control that will do this?

4.Displaying Text With Layout in a Text Box

Word 2000

I've built a user form that contains a text box. I have the following code
to initialize a couple of values in the user form:

     Private Sub UserForm_Initialize()

         lblErrorMessage.Caption = ErrMsg
         tbDataClip.Value = cbDataClip

     End Sub

This basically works, but I've run into one small hitch that I can't seem to
solve. I would like the text box to display data like the following example
(Note that this is a test record, and not live data):

     M*HR.MTHOT0000.MT0000000.*ABCTSTIUL9.

Instead, the text box is displaying the data as a single unbroken row, with
the paragraph markers visible in the data string. I made sure that the Word
Wrap property of the text box is enabled. Is there some way to pass the
data to the text box so that the text box displays the data with the layout
intact?
