  • 1. PageChange Event!!??? Please Help
Hello Everyone, I just want to know whether there is something like PageChange event that can tell me that page has been changed so that i can perform certain operations based on that event. for instance i want to print "DO" if the last record matches the current record but if the page changes then it should show up the orignal value and not the "DO" one. Any kind of help would be appreciated. thanks and regards. -- Abul Hasan Lakhani

Hi, I want to put an image in my report. The path to the image needs to vary according to the value of a parameter field. Can I do this? If so how? Thanks Martin
  • 3. Problem showing DATE fields with CR
Hi. I have Crystal Reports 9 and want to show some data with DATE fields in it via active data (ADO) in a VB6 program. The database table looks like this: date - DATE type - STRING num - INTEGER Then i do this: set rs = new ADODB.recordset rs.open "SELECT * FROM ..." .... report.Database.SetDataSource rs viewer.ReportSource = report viewer.ViewReport The problem: All data shows up except the column with the date. The report file is created via a TTX file (with definitions like above) and stupid simple -- just a click through of the wizard without any bells or whistles. Why does the complete date column vanish from the report? Oh, this happens with an Oracle database as with a Access file. Any hints are very welcome! -- Stefan.

"Crystal Subreport Links" and ASP problem

Postby arockwel » Sun, 29 Aug 2004 02:13:49 GMT

I'm running Crystal 9.0 through an ASP front-end. I'm having a problem
with a subreport.

The main report is grouped by employee. When a page break occurs on
another employee, the corresponding subreport should show the info
associated with that person only. In the Crystal Designer, I used the
"Change Subreport Links" to make sure this happens. The result when
previewing through the Designer is that it works perfectly. However,
when I run it through my ASP page all the employees come up blank in
the subreport with no data at all. For a brief second I can see the
subreport indicate "Loading".

Now, if I change the links to not link, the designer shows the data
for all employees (which is wrong and is to be expected). However,
this time, the ASP report shows the exact same thing as the Designer
(again wrong). So, with no links, it does show data.

Is there something I can do to fix this problem? Thanks.

1.Crystal reports 10 subreport links failed at runtime ASP ADO

Hi,

I have a single subreport in my main report. Both uses the same XML
document (with two tables defined) as the database. The subreport is
linked to my main report in the Details section via a field in the
main report at design time.

When i run this report via asp.net I keep getting prompted to set a
value for the linked parameter. Is there a way to set this link
programmatically? More to the point, can CR run a subreport whose
datasource is a XDS file?

TIA

2.Change Subreport Links problem with ASP

I'm running Crystal 8.5 through an ASP front-end. I'm having a problem
with a subreport. The main report is grouped by employee. So, when a
page break occurs on another employee, the corresponding subreport
should show the info associated with that person only. So, in the
Crystal designer, I used the "Change Subreport Links" to make sure
this happens. The result when previewing through the designer is that
it works great. However, when I run it through my ASP page all the
employees come up blank in the subreport with no data at all.

Now, if I change the links to not link, the designer shows the total
for all employees (which is wrong and is to be expected). But, the ASP
report shows the exact same thing this time as the designer (again
wrong).

Is there something I can do to fix this problem? Thanks.

4.Crystal Report with SubReport, SubReport prints on separate page

I have created a Crystal Report with five subreports to represent
datagrids on our dataentry application. The largest datagrid is the
last item on the report. When empty this last subreport will print on
page one of the report about halfway down the page.

The problem is when this subreport has more than 50 rows it grows off
the page. Not a problem as it will print all the pages necessary for
this subreport but it starts the report on page two rather than page
one leaving about half of page one blank.

I have just created this report today and all of the report options
are still default as I am not sure which option would resolve this
issue. Each sub report is in a separate section with this last
subreport being in the 'Details e' section. There is no 'Details f'
section.

Does anyone have an idea on what I can do?

5.Can a subreport contain another subreport? - Crystal 9

Wondering if a sub report can contain another subreport, I've been trying
for a few hours to get it working, but am struggling, keeps getting removed
when import it into the main report.

Anyone had success with this?

Thanks,
CJ
