1.VS.Net 2003 - Intellisense causing crash
Hi, I'm having a rather irritating problem with Intellisense in VS.Net 2003. Every time I try to get intellisense for a particular typed dataset studio maxes the CPU and hangs. I have tried recompiling, checked the dataset for errors etc but cannot get around the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as re-opening an 11 project solution with source control every 10 minutes is proving to be extremely annoying!! Thanks, PsychicMonkey
2.VS.NET crashes after intellisense completes specific class name's property
It seems that my VS.NET decides to crash everytime I use a specific class name for one of my classes, when the intellisense completes any or the properties' names. For example, if my class is named "MyClass" (and everything compiles ok), and then I decide to autocomplete the name of a property of this type, VS.NET crashes: MyClass myInstance = new MyClass(); myInstance.anyProperty When the intellisense opens to complete the "anyProperty", and I choose to autocomplete it, VS.NET crashes. If I rename MyClass to MyClass2, everything works fine.... Obviously this means that somewhere VS.NET stores MyClass class's name and/or data which causes it to crash. I've tried deleting the obj and bin folders of the project, restarting my machine etc', but to no avail. Has anyone got any idea what to do ? Is there some other location where intellisense data etc' might be stored ? Thanks.
3.Really nasty bug with intellisense causing the VS.NET 2003 IDE to lock
Since installing SP1 and using VS.NET 2003 I have been having terrible problems with the intellisense locking the IDE. It only seems to happen with certain assemblies, but happens a lot. For example if I type: MessageBox.Show( this, "Test", and then start using the Up and Down arrows to cycle through the overrides the IDE locks/freezes up everytime. To unfreeze the IDE you have to click on the VS.NET icon in the task bar and minimize then maximise the screen and it comes back to life. This even happens in solutions that have a single project and no external references and is causing me a major headache! Anyone else had similiar problems? thanks andrew
4.Bug SQL script in VS IDE Ctrl + A Select All causes CRASH
Has anyone experienced this before. I have a web project/application. One of the files in this application is a SQL Script file. When I use Ctrl+A to select all of the text of the file VS Net CRASHES horribly. The command window is raised and the "Error Reporting" application kicks in and VS Net is re started. I do not get the error if I hold the shift and page down to select all the tex OR use the mouse to click + drag. Just Ctrl + A blows the damn thing to smithereens. This is a major PITA. If anyone is listening. This was happening in VS Net 02 and now it contiues in VS Net 2003
5.Breakpoint causes VS C# 2005 to crash
Hello, I am experiencing strange problems with Visual C# 2005 Professional. I have been using the product for a while on my desktop pc, but recently I got a new laptop, and I installed VS2005 on it. But when I started debugging any application, VS and most of the windows UI hangs. It can be a simple "Hello world" application - as soon as the debugger hits a breakpoint, it will completely stop responding. I can press CTRL+ALT+DEL a few times, an the task manager will pop up after a while. But it will also be unresponsive. The strange thing is that, when I went back to my desktop pc to use VS - it did the exact same thing all of a sudden. So I'm thinking that some Norton/Windows Update might be conflicting with VS. Has anyone experienced similar problems? Is there a way to collect information on why the crash occurs? Thank you very much
