Hi! Which function can get current date & time in VxWorks? Thanks!

Has anyone ever encountered a MemScopeTracingError within the trace for a memory allocation? If you have, then could you share what sort of problem was found? I'm investigating a memory leak that's not very easy to find. Whenever I think I have it traced to a particular piece of code... it shows up elsewhere. Any thoughts on a "MemScopeTracingError" is appreciated. Thanks!
  • 3. ntohs
Hello, I'm trying to use the function ntohs() in my program. I've included <hostLib.h> and was able to compile and download w/o any problems. My test function looks like this: void test() { int v = 0x6100; printf("before: v = 0x%x, after: v = 0x%x", v, ntohs(v)); } After I run test(), the result looks like this: before: v = 0x6100, after: v = 0x6100 Is there some library I would need to run ntohs() correctly? Thanks in advance.

  • 5. Telestream Clipmail pro problem w/vxworks
Hi I have a bit of a problem involving a Telestream Clipmail system that runs VxWorks 5.4 with Kernel: WIND version 2.5. version output: VxWorks (for Telestream MediaFax Network Processor) version 5.3.1. Kernel: WIND version 2.5. Made on Feb 14 2000, 10:18:34. Boot line: fei(0,0)flipa:NP e=192.168.2.50:ffffff00 b=1.1.50.1:fffffffc h=192.168.2.6 g=192.168.2.6 u=vw pw=target f=0x8 tn=np o=fei value = 133 = 0x85 Orginally the problem occured while upgrading the Telestream software on the unit from a version 1.x to 3.x. I was never told that a firmware upgrade needed to be done and thus the software would not allow the processor to boot properly. I currently have the Net processor booting via network Ftp (it connects to an ftp for the boot file, downloads it, and boots). However it doesn't boot the media processor portion. It does however start the FTP server that runs on the unit. The username/password that I use to log into the unit via Telnet, is not working for the FTP server. I was wondering if there was a command to add users into the system. gRelaxedSecurity=1 didn't work. Any ideas? I'm desperate :( -anthony

ppc604gnu

I use the ppc604gnu for the PPC755 processor. I'm doing this from what
I found in the newsgroups so it may not be the best option.

I agree with Jamie, ppc604gnu is ok. I've used this for our Sn2400 model
featuring
an MPC750 CPU. Is this the CPU you have on your board?

Likely all the ppc60x configurations will work. The highest number
would likely contain the more similar features than then lower numbers.

604 is probably best. The 604 was integer superscalar as the 750 is.
Superscalar meaning there are multiple execution pipelines and
optimizations can be had by appropriately rearranging instructions to
keep both (all) pipelines full.

603 will work, but no optimization for this feature.
