  • 2. question for file download
    Hey,everybody, Here,I have a question for file downloaded. My environment is vxwork 5.5.1 based on MPC 8260. My work has two downloadable project, such as prject 1 and project 2 which has invoked some routines in project 1. Now, at first I download project2.out, then download project1.out. After that, I lanched debugger,and run project1.out. When I run project2.out, it crash with the errno 0x30065. My question is what has the vxworks done when a file downloaded into the target machine? How does it deal with the symbal table? I am very appreciate for your answers. Thx

Postby Moshe Mery » Wed, 31 Dec 2003 02:58:08 GMT

Hello,
How can I set the dependency generation to search the include files in the
root of one of my drives in cases when the drive letter in missing.

Example -
Set dependency include path start at - "k:"

/*File name - MyTest.c */
#Inlclude "MyInclude.rc"
-------------------------------
/*File name - MyInclude.rc */
Include "/MyHeaders/Test/Test.h"

I reported this issue to the NDIS team during our weekly call with MSFT. Now
I got an ACK that the WDK team is able to reproduced in Redmond. It's being
taken care of.

4.How to attain drive letter or assign drive letter to a volume

I'm working on a Delphi program which needs to attain and change the drive
letters. I tried to call 'DiskPart' command and it's script to achieve this
function. However, 'DiskPart' is not so stable. Is there any better method
instead? Like Windows API or other SDK.

Thank you very much.

5.Update Script to include non-Windows Included Print Drivers

Hello,

I currently use the following script to install a TCP/IP Port and Printer on
workstations. Being that we don't use a Print Server, and the wizard is too
ardious, I find this is the easiest route. However, we recently deployed some
multi-function copiers on our network, and the Windows XP install base
doesn't include the necessary printer driver. How can I modify this script to
be able to look to a network share for the needed driver?

//--------------------------------------------------Script

strComputer = "."
    Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
    Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" _
                      & "{impersonationLevel=impersonate}!\\" & strComputer
& "\root\cimv2")

'Install TCP/IP Port :

Set objNewPort = objWMIService.Get("Win32_TCPIPPrinterPort").SpawnInstance_

    objNewPort.Name = "IP_192.168.10.28"
    objNewPort.Protocol = 2
    objNewPort.HostAddress = "192.168.10.28"
    objNewPort.PortNumber = "515"
    objNewPort.Queue = "LPT1_PASSTHRU"
    objNewPort.SNMPCommunity = "public"
    objNewPort.SNMPEnabled = False
    objNewPort.Put_

'Stop Spooler Service

    Set colServiceList = objWMIService.ExecQuery _
        ("Select * from Win32_Service where Name='Spooler'")
    For Each objService In colServiceList
    errReturn = objService.StopService()
    WScript.Sleep 5000
    Next

'Start Spooler Service

    For Each objService In colServiceList
    errReturn = objService.StartService()
    WScript.Sleep 5000
    Next

'Install Driver :

'    objWMIService.Security_.Privileges.AddAsString "SeLoadDriverPrivilege",
True
'
'    Set objDriver = objWMIService.Get("Win32_PrinterDriver")
'
'    objDriver.Name = "hp laserjet 4"
'    objDriver.SupportedPlatform = "Windows NT x86"
'    objDriver.Version = "3"
'    objDriverPath = "C:\WINNT\System32\Printui.dll"
'    objInfname = "C:\WINNT\inf\ntprint.inf"
'    intResult = objDriver.AddPrinterDriver(objDriver)
'
'Install TCP-Printer :

    strComputer = "."
    Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" _
        & "{impersonationLevel=impersonate}!\\" & strComputer & "\root\cimv2")

    Set objPrinter = objWMIService.Get("Win32_Printer").SpawnInstance_

    objPrinter.DriverName = "hp laserjet 4"
    objPrinter.PortName   = "IP_192.168.10.28"
    objPrinter.DeviceID   = "192.168.10.28"
    objPrinter.Network = True
    objPrinter.Shared = False
    objPrinter.ShareName = ""
    objPrinter.Published = False
    objPrinter.Location = ""
    objPrinter.Put_

WScript.Quit
//-----------------------End Script

Any help is appreciated!
