I have problem printing from acrobat. When I'm printing, on the printing view all is O.K., but when I print on a printer instead of fonts I have strange bushes. I tryied printing on various printing from various versions of Acrobat. I thought that problem is with fonts, but I have installed the same fonts like other computers. When I check options "print like picture", printing is O.K. I think that something is wrong with my Win2000. What? Waldek

I'm trying to create a custom form for the above printer. I've set a custom form (Width 8.5" x Length 3.65in) in the printer settings but I'm unable to select it from the printer paper option. It seems that there is a problem to select custom form with the length below 4in. Is there a fix for this? OS is WinXP Pro SP 1a and Win 2000 Pro SP4. Please help, thanks -- Steven Ung

Can磘 print on any of my network printers

Postby peter.nilsson » Thu, 21 Oct 2004 19:51:37 GMT

We have win 2003 servers. Starting from today we cant print on any of
the network printers on two of the servers. I get an error with
eventid 61 that says:
The document Test Page owned by user failed to print on printer HP
LaserJet. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 3003. A
StartDocPrinter call was not issued.

I have tried to stop and start the spooler but it didn help. I have
also tried to restart the server but the problem remains.

Do you have any printers which do work?
Is this problem isolated to HP LaserJet models?
Has anything changed on the print servers, like new driver models were added
or drivers were updated?

What ports / port monitors are you using? Standard TCP / IP? If you log on
to the server, can you ping the devices? One of the scenarios where error
3003 is logged is when the port cannot be opened (because the device is not
reachable).

1.Printing to Network Printer via Network Printer on Local Machine

We have multiple servers that we use remote desktop to connect to and
multiple users across the company that use these servers. We would like to
be able to configure the local machines network printers to be available when
connected to TS. We have the ability to connect to printers connected to
LPT1 but the problem is with nearly 500 users they can't all have local
printers. I know a lot of people recommend setting up the network printer on
the server, however we want to avoid that because we have over 15 network
printers in the home office and many others in field offices throughout the
country and don't want to set them all up on the server under each users
login. I have done some research but so far have not found a solution to
this so thought I would post here and see if anyone has done it or knows for
sure there is no way to do it.

Thank You

3.Can磘 print to new USB printer

New USB printers dont support DOS printing any more so you will have to use
third party utility like DOSprint. Search DOSPRINT in google and you will
find it.

SE and I have just installed a new HP USB printer. Now when I try to print
from the application it causes a general protection fault in a file related
with the printer (I don have the name of the file, but it hp?????.dll -
I think it a dll). After that, the application closes, and naturally,
nothing get printed. The driver installed is the latest downloaded from
HP web site, and any other application, such as Office, print fine. The
specific printer is a DeskJet 3650.

the pictures?

5.Printer can磘 print pictures from doc-file

Hi,

I have a big *.doc file (~200 pages) with a lot of pictures. All the
pictures are linked from the file, i.e. they are stored in some
directories on the hard disk. When I open the file and go to a
particular page of the document it takes some time before the pictures
load on that page and become visible. Now, when I trying to print
the file out, printer sees only those pictures that were loaded while
I was browsing the document. Those pages that I haven visited are
being printing out without pictures. So, before I print I have to go
through all the document and spend some time on each page to load its
pictures...

Why the printer (or software) doesn see all pictures?

Thanks.
