seems to work fine in 64 bit uphclean.exe (-users profile hive cleanup services). Available from microsoft, link in their download notification news-letter. Just loaded it in 64 bit. Loaded it last night in 32 & it seems to have made my system faster...waiting to see if any changes or improvements in 64 bit.
  • 3. x64 Installation BSOD
Thank you in advance for your help. When I attempt to install x64 I get past the part where it loads the drivers and I think it says Windows Setup at the bottom bar. Right after that the screen goes blank and then the blue screen comes up with the STOP: PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED error. I am running an Athlon 64 X2, on an n-force4 mobo with an nvidia 7800 video card. I have a single 100 GB IDE HDD. I have tried the following troubleshooting steps with the exact same results: *Updated all firmware. *Removed all non-essential components. *Removed all but one stick of ram. *Formatted HDD *Hit F6 during pre-install and provided n-force IDE drivers. *Asked it to work very very nicely. Any assistance you folks can offer will be appreciated.

Hello there I'm attempting to upgrade my Server 2000 to Server2003x64 - without any luck and would appreciate your advice. I've booted the CD and pressed F6 to load drivers from floppy. After selecting the latest x64 drivers from Silicon Image I proceed to the install Windows screen. I select Install Windows and the next screen inform that the Hard disk is not found and I can only press F3 to exit. here is the spec: mb: gigabyte ga-k8n Pro(nforce3 chipset) processor: amd athlon 64 3400 memory: 2 * 1gb TwinX Corsair hd: wd 160gb sata-II os: windows 2000 sp4

Highly unofficial NVidia 168.18 whql

The french guys of www.station-drivers.com did it again.
They have unofficial (allegedly whql) drivers v168.18 for both Vista and XP
 http://www.**--****.com/ %20forceware.htm
 http://www.**--****.com/ (www.station-drivers.com).exe
 http://www.**--****.com/ (www.station-drivers.com).exe
Downloading them right now.
Use it at your own risk (or just don't use it).

They also have 162.22 for Vista x86 and Vista x64, which is slightly
newer. Guru3d has 163.11 for Vista x86 and Vista x64, but these drivers
only work with the NVidia 8xxx series cards.

Let me stress this.
These are NOT beta.
They are whql.
Once you extract the exe file you will be able to see the "catalog" file
(*cat.) which is the "mark" of being whql.
They have the same numbering of other betas around there but they are not
Then again, use at your own risk.
I have not still decided what I am going to do with them.

error)system has recovered. Back to the original driver that does not
produce that error. Nvidia Driver version 7.15.10 9746 dated 22/08/2006.

the source mentioned at the top of my post.
I can confirm (and so does Vista) that the drivers are not beta.
They are digitally signed.
Date is June 29th, and version is
