  • 1. Games Running too Fast! help
all games installed onto my x64 computer run too fast to play. Seems as thou the games are clocked out to 2 or 3 times the speed at which there supposed to operate. Even the video segments play twice as fast and the audio plays in fast forward also. I cant find any options to correct this.
  • 2. Validate my X64
Hi, I can't seem to do this to download certain files from MS such as the antispyware. No activex prompt appears when I go to validate and when I try to do it manually, running the validation tool, it just eventually goes to 'this page cannot be displayed'. My version of X64 is a fresh one, only a week old , but I have had similar problems before with this OS and other installs, I've not changed any of the security settings in IE32-bit. Ok, I've just tried to download MSN Messenger, and that too won't work, however if I go to any other site I can download at will, blimey.... ChrisC
  • 3. Does PC Speaker work?
I've tried playing some sounds through my internal speaker in x64 but haven't gotten it to work. I know it's hooked up okay because it works with VMWare + 32-bit XP. Has anyone else had problems?

1.I receive her e-mail, but when I reply she doesn't receive mine

My e-mail is working and I send and receive with others successfully, and
this other individual sends and receives to others successfully, but she does
not receive my e-mail (although I do receive hers).

I don't get any error messages on this end. She has added me to her
"contacts" list, but that hasn't helped.

Is this her problem or mine? How to solve? Thanks! I use Vista. I don't
know what she uses, but her address is @Yahoo.com

2.Vista Basic justs reboots?

Hi all,

I have a Vista Basic machine that just reboots after I put in my password.
I have been able to go into safe mode but several programs seem to "hog" the
cpu time. I am not sure if my problem is an invasion from the Internet or a
corrupted driver or what. I can boot up into command prompt safe mode
cleanly but at that point I don't know what to do to determine what the
problem is. Is there a command to get task manager to run? Is there a
command like kill from the unix world that will absolutely stop a running
process or service? I am hoping that I can get it to boot into safe mode
with networking so I can get it on the Internet and do one of those free
virus scans. Any other suggestions?

thanks,
charles....

4.Credentials missing in reply from ADS if 2nd request within 5 seconds

Hello,

we authenticate users that work with our web app through ADS. The
authentication request is forwarded by Apache to ADS. The problem is
now that if the same user clicks within 5 seconds on some link or
button in our web app ADS sends some reply back that does not include
the user's credentials. Our web app then responds by ignoring the
user's request.

If the user waits for more than 5 seconds and then clicks on some link
the reply from ADS includes the credentials from ADS, the user is
authenticated successfully and is forwarded to the next page as
requested.

Anybody some idea what the problem could be or what we could try to do?
We have spent quite a bit some time with this issue and don't seem to
be getting anywhere.

Thanx, Olli

5.second post-why no reply?

I can't install "critical updates". They fail to install.
I don't get any pop-up message, they just don't install.
Also, why can't I go to the page I type in on this
newsgroup? It will skip 15 days when I only want to go to
the next page.
