1.Win2k Cluster logs overwritten by default?
Troubleshooting an issue where my cluster server was repeatedly failing
over and failing back for an hour. I want to know the original cause
of the failover, but I'm told that the cluster logs overwrite, and
therefore, the original cause is unretrievable. Can this be true? If
so, can I change this to not overwrite?
2.Security log get overwritten, log size less than max litmit
I'm trying to figure out why my security log gets overwritten. We have
default domain controller policy set to 1GB and overwrite as need. The
current log size is 400MB. The oldest event I can find in the security log
was 2 days old. I don't know what I'm missing. But why the older events got
overwritten, when the log size has reached the limit yet.
3.Acive/Passive Setup 2003 cluster administrator fails, main cluster fails, no event log probs
I have a win 2003 cluster going into production, running on a EMC
AX100.
Starting today, Cluster Admin failed to be able to open the cluster.
However, the clustered applications (SQL, IIS) were still running.
WCS-IIS (part of the cluster) worked
WCS-DB (SQL) worked
yet, the main cluster---> wcs-cluster would not respond.
Currently I have the passive turned off---I have reentered the
passwords in the service settings, and restarted the server----
The cluster service starts fine-------so at this point, i don't know
what to do. I can't find any help, and for that matter i'm not
exactly sure what to look for.
Thanks for any replies

4.Errors in Cluster event log after removing of clustered service
Hi group,
I removed clustered service (SQL Analysis service ) and installed it again,
but with different name.
All services and app-lications seems to work normaly.
But now I'm getting these errors in cluster event log every hour:
Error 1: Cluster resource 'SQL Network Name (old service name)' in clustered
service or application 'Available Storage' failed.
Error 2: The Cluster service failed to bring clustered service or
application 'Available Storage' completely online or offline. One or more
resources may be in a failed state. This may impact the availability of the
clustered service or application.
How can avoid these errors?
Thank You,
Mindaugas
5.logging on messenger says I am logged on at another location
When I connect to the internet ( I am a Msn user) I get a
message in the right corner that says I can't log on
because I am logged in on another computer. I can log on
if I click connect from my Msn web page. I am worried
because I had a connection at my last job but I am sure I
deleted all my personal imformation from that computer.
Anyone have a clue where I might be logged in at or a
solution to this annoying problem? Thanks you guys always
help me find the answer.
