My music sounded phenomenal on XP. I just upgraded to Vista, holy S___! I can't hear my music from iTunes nor do all the speakers function. What a disappointment!!! Microsoft needs to get their act together before releasing another OS to the public without proper Beta testing.

1.Editing Vista Movie Maker project files with XP movie maker

I am currently having troubles contuing to edit my movie maker project on my
xp machine at work after I have worked and edited them on my Vista machine at
home. I have version 6.0 at home on a Vista O.S. and a 5.1 on the XP machine
at work. I can open the project i worked on in XP with the vista version but
not visa versa. Very similar to how office 2007 works.
I use a client to be able to open the 2007 .docx files on my xp 2003 machine
or just save my files as 97-03 .doc's
There is not an option in vista 6.0 movie maker to save it as an older
version.
How can I work on my project between the two platforms/versions?

2.Vista Movie Maker Saved Projects wont play on XP Movie Maker

I made many projects on Vista MM and no one with XP Movie maker can open
them. Is there something they can do to open and continue working on the
projects.

4.faulting module wmenceng.dll, version 9.0.0.2980 fault address 0x0

hi,

I got some error while encoding a bench of files from my application. I'm
using windows media encoder 9 com component on windows server 2008 x64.

Faulting application wmencodercommander.exe, version 1.0.0.0, stamp
49b15080, faulting module wmenceng.dll, version 9.0.0.2980, stamp 3df7efcd,
debug? 0, fault address 0x00059b46.

Do you have a clue about this ?

5.WMEncoder v. 9 faulting application faulting module

After opening Windows Media Encoder v. 9.0.0.2980 on XP SP 2, it consistently
(though not always) crashes with the following error "Faulting applicatins
wmenc.exe v.9.0.0.2980 faulting module ntdll.dll 5.1.2600.2180 " when trying
to open any file to convert it to wmv.
Tried stopping startup commands to see if some other software might be
contributing but nothing so far is obvious. What is curious is that starting
the system in SAFE Mode allows one to run it without a problem. That
suggests that some domain policy or network service is contributing to the
issue. Not sure what tool would help....

Anyone?

PS_-tried to install the Expression Encoder trial version and it won't even
allow one to get that far without it crashing without any error at all.
