Help, my icons wont stay the same.
by jon » Wed, 10 Sep 2003 07:03:14 GMT
I have this wierd problem. My icons in the Quick Launch
bar on the Taskbar and all the little icons on the
Taskbar for that matter are seemingly randomly chosen.
No idea why this is happening. I have run several virus
scans and nothing comes up. I have downloaded all
available updates from MS. Anyone out there experienced
this?

To refresh the icons in the system change the size of icons in Start - Control Panel - Display - Appearance - Advanced, click apply then change the size back.

3.Quicklaunch icons wont stay afte restart
My quicklaunch setting has decided to turn itself off
after restarting the computer. Previously, I had
the "quicklaunch" checked on the toolbar options, but evey

do this recently, quite possibly around the same time as I
installed SP2?
Anyone got any ideas

5.icons wont stay put
just today it started, if i reboot or do something that triggers it (not
sure what it is), but all of a sudden the icons collapse back as if set to
auto arrange).
i use a utility ive had for awhile that allows me to restore the positions
from the last save, so i can get them back except for any recent changes, i
think i acquired this back in win98 cuz it happened fairly often and have
just kept it as a handy tool for occassional problems, but this is now
happening lots.
is there some setting or 'clean' i can do?
thanks.
