Play sound from multiple devices

Postby sid » Mon, 21 Apr 2008 08:08:50 GMT

When I plug a phone jack into my laptop, it now plays through the
external speakers via the jack.

Question: Is this a hardware connection that is broken ? or is there
a software decision in the driver to play through the external
devices ?

Is there a setting somewhere (registry or API) that I can set the
system to play through the external and internal speakers ?

Or: Can I set the system to send sound to multiple devices if
installed multiple sound devices ?

Thanks

Sid.

When I connect my Palm or PocketPC for synchronization to my PC, Windows
usually plays the "inserting device" sound once. Since yesterday, this sound
is played continuously until the device is disconnected.

Can you help me figure out how to solve this so annoying problem? Thank you
very much.

Easier said than done. I can't find any drivers for Microsoft Synthesizer.
