Thanks! :-) It's better to start a new thread for new problems - particularly if they are completely unrelated to the first. Go to Control Panel > User Accounts and give yourself a password.
  • 2. drive full
I am getting an almost full message. I have a C drive with 15GB and 963 MB free. I have a D drive with 60 GB and 55 free. I guess it is telling me that C is almost full. I have tried to drag a few large folders from C to D but they don't seem to want to go. How can I free up C or use D? I obviously have a bunch of space, I just need to know how to use it.

can anyone help me get back the text you see during logon? It seems to have disappeared. I'm talking about the text that says things like "Loading personal settings" and "logging off" and "saving your settings" and "Windows is shutting down". Thanks

Text not visible in Outlook Express

Postby Barry » Thu, 22 Apr 2004 06:20:55 GMT

PA Bear advised running CWShredder and updating/running
full virus scan. My first act was to run a Symantec
online virus scan; it came out clean (virus definitions
up to date on installed program.)After looking at
CWShredder I'm not sure this would be appropriate for my
situation: text not visible in OE, except when typing
message. Messages send correctly to outside addresses,
but are listed and not visible in the inbox, sent items,
etc. The CW tool looks like it involves IE and highjacker
variants. Any further comments very appreciated. Thanks,
Barry

You asked, I answered. IE and OE are closely linked and the latter is
indeed dependent on the former.

Running CWShredder will not harm your system in any way. Note that I'm only
positing that a CoolWebSearch variant /may/ be the bad guy causing this
pandemic "blank email" problem.

2.Outlook 2000 text not visible in Outlook 2003

I have been receiving and sending e-mail using Windows 2000 Outlook. Now, of
course, I want to move to my new Windows XP and MS Office Professional
Edition 2003 Outlook on my new laptop. I copied all my e-mail from W2K
Outlook to .msg files in normal folders, to back them up. When I
double-click them in W2K,l they open in normal-looking Outlook-type message
windows and display all their contents. I moved them all to my new laptop,
but now the files thate in HTML format work fine but the files (from me)
that are not seem to have lost their text. They still have their
attachments, though, which are perfectly usable. I tried Windows XP Outlook
help and fiddled with the Tools | Options setup but to no avail. Opening the
.msg files with my favorite program editor (SlickEdit) shows the files do
contain the message text it just that XP Outlook (at least in its default
setup) doesn display the text.

3.Outlook Message Text Not Visible

Text is not visible in messages received from co-worker
using Eudora. Signature, which uses fancy font, is
visible.

Text is "there somewhere" as it is visible when the message
is previewed.

I understand that other recipients (Outlook 2000 users) of
the messages that they experience the same problem.

4.Text not visible in Outlook

I have a Vista Machine with Office 2007. When I have email I have message
where the text is invisible. If I forward this message to hotmail I can
read the text. It also works if a reboot the machine. I also have had
issues with Word crashing and Webpages in Explorer not visible while Firefox
is fine. I went and disabled the old MSO.dll for Office 2003 and that
helped for a day but I have the same issue. I went and uninstalled all the
updates for Office and that worked for a day to. I have searched on the
error message and have not gotten any hits. I have a Office 11 folder
can I just delete it and hope it works.

5.Mailes not visible in Outlook Express 6.0 after importing

HI

I Moved Identities Folder to different PC and tried
Importing mails both in outlook Express and Microsoft
outlook, But it shows blank content and mails are not
visible though the size of .dbx is more.

I tried running DBXtract which strips .DBX files to .elm
and shows each mail as single file that means mails are
very much present.

How can I view my mails back in a normal may in Outlook
Express.

Please Help.
