  • 1. Can't get an old educational game cd to play
I recently purchased educational games for kids meant for Windows 95/98 and the store personnel told me how to make them compatible but so far I have tried: - going into properties and setting it to Windows 98 compatibility. - downloading a recent version of DirectX but still when I try to play the game my media player gives me an error message Anyone have the same problem - any solution?
  • 2. Controls buttons have disappeared - But Where?
Richard I have your exact same problem, that just came up out of no where I have used Remote Assistance successfully ever since I've had XP Pro (as an "expert") and now suddenly, for no reason, the buttons have just disappeared, exactly as you described It will not work with computers that it previously had no problem with, as well as new clients that I have tried it on; it will connect just fine, but only in "view only" mode I have enabled all features (which hadn't been done before, by the way) in System Admin per the Knowledge Base Articles, but to no avail I have applied all the Windows Updates available, but other than that nothing else has changed I use an Efficient Networks DSL Router and Norton Personal Firewall 2004, but I had both in place long before this inexplicable problem appeared Let's hope some of the whiz-bangs out there will help us out on this one, as I'm shut down in the meantime As I always say, if I have the problem, then other folks surely do, as well

Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL This message is displayed and I can only shutdown my computer.
  • 4. Home Page Error
When I log in to my homepage I get a lis tof strange numbers and %. Everytime I change my homepage it always defaults back to these numberrs & %. I installed & ran Ad-aware and this hasn't helped the problem. Also, everytime I try to run a windows update I get an error message. Can someone please help!
  • 5. outlookExpress for one user on computer not working properly
My Husband and I are both set up with user accounts. We have XP pro. When I log off so he can go and log on to his "part of the computer" , his email just does not work properly. It seems like this is a recent occurrence. When he begins to type, there is a delay between the typing and the words appearing. It often freezes . The strangest thing is when he is typing and text starts inserting itself-we have no idea where it is coming from either. We have Norton internet security 2004 and I scan weekly and keep virus definitions updated so do not believe it could be a virus. When he logs off and I go to my outlook express, all is well. It works normally. He does not have his account in my outlook and I don't have my account in his. In his option box, I switched him to plain text to see if that would help. I hate to reinstall Outlook as mine works fine. Hoping to get some help. JoyceR

You need to define just how you quantified such findings.

I use the "Total Commander" http://www.**--****.com/
as my one and only Windows Manager, and it permanently
monitors transfer rates. I up- and downloaded image files
about 8MB each to full capacity of the CF card. The above
indicated range 6 : 32 MB/sec is very plausible, I felt
no need to measure the time required for a full load.

New card reader bought only today, could this be faulty?
Up to now used a USB 1.1 one with slightly less than 1MB/sec
either way.

2.How to make different SID on protected CF card

Hello All:
I want to produce unique SID for each XPE on different CF cards, which were
under EWF protection. Following are my steps:

1 run Etprep.exe to delete the EWF volume.
2 run Fbreseal.exe and restart.

I notice the clone operation always execute in the OS starting phase, but I
don't hope it did like this.
How can I resolve the problem?
I'd appreciate your help.

3.unable to download video from CF card

Hi, I tried to download a video file from my CF card using Windows Media Player and I am getting an error message 80070017. Unfortunatley this film is VERY important to me and I wondered if anyone was able to help. The weird thing is that it will play back on the camera but not in my card reader. If this matters at all I am using a Canon A70 and a Sandisk card reader, This problem only happens when I use this card which is 128meg. I have repeatly formated the card and nothing seems to make it work.........PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Signed a panacky lady

4.Download CE image on a CF card

Sounds like you haven't tried anything. How about just copying it to the
card and making sure that your bootloader knows the drive number of the
card? You've told us absolutely nothing about the target system, either, so
we can't really point you to source code to read or documentation. Is it
x86? What BSP are you using?

5.Image download using CF card

My old board has no support from the vendor anymore and it is initially
running on
prioprietary OS thus there is no BSP. It used to run on CF card. The files
extracted are
1) autorun.cmd
2) boot.rom
3) config.xml
4) update.z - my research shows that it is a unix compressed archive file

update.z should be the proprietary OS. If i replace the update.z with BSP,
will the OS boots up properly?
