Windows XP-Media Center Version: I have an Epson Stylus Photo R200 with the capability to print on blank CD/DVD discs. Recently, when I tried to print a photo, I received an error message, saying the machine needs a service call. Knowing how expensive that can be, I have decided to buy a new printer. What brands are available that print on blank discs? I have done a search with no luck.

My Computer doesn't recognize my digital Camera

Hi,
My Computer doesn't recognize my digital Camera, I even
installed the USB Driver that was in a CD with the Camera
but nothing happened with that too and because I have
Windows XP it doesn't need any CD install for this as it
say in the Digital Camera Catalog.
By the way i connected my digital cam with my friends
computer and it was OK, and also his camera had the same
problem with my Computer that's why i think the problem
is with my computer and the USB connection on the
Motherboard?

It sounds like you have already identified the problem!
First, check to see that BIOS has the USB Ports enabled.
Next, if ports were enabled, in safe mode, remove the USB Port drivers from
Device manager. A reboot should cause them to be reinstalled. Finally, some
MBDs hav a chip set that requires add in drivers for such things as the USB
ports. (VIA chipsets as an example) If the computer case has front panel USB
ports that you are trying to use, make sure that the internal cables are
connected properly to the MBD.

2.HELP - My Win XP doesn't recognize my Canon Digital Camera

Hi there,

I've just got a new Canon PowerShot SD500 (or IXUS 700 in Europe). After a
few test shots with the camera I try to connect it to my laptop following the
instructions included in the camera documentation. These are:
1. Install the CD software
2. Restart the computer
3. Connect the camera to the USB port
4. Switch on the camera on Play mode

After that an icon of new hardware appears in the taskbar as "Canon Digital
Camera", but it turns to "Fixed Digital Camera" and the wizard to install nwe
hardware is started. After a short search the wizard ask for ptpusd.dll,
which is not in the SW CD nor my computer.

Tried to uninstall and reinstall the software. No success.

My laptop: IBM ThinkPad T41 with USB 2.0. Win XP Pro SP1.
The camera has full batery.

Any ideas?

Thanks in avance.

3.XP doesn't recognize my Canon Digital Camera

I tried to connect my Canon Powershot S50 to my computer. The software loaded fine. The instruction manual of the camera stated that XP would automatically recognize the camera and install the drivers. However, this didn't work. I downloaded drivers from Canon's website. That didn't work. I brought in a tech. That didn't work. I called Canon tech support. Bottom line; they say that it is my computer. I also bought a panasonic camcorder. Same problem.

How can I get the system to recognize my camera and camcorder?

4.computer doesn't recognize digital camcorder

I'm having problems connecting my canon mv400i digital
camcorder to the firewire port of my computer. The
operating system is windows XP. I know that the
camcorder works fine as i can connect it to another
computer and the firewire port on my computer seems to be
ok as i can connect it to another computer and share
files via firewire. But, nothing happens when i plug in
the camcorder (i.e. there is no 'new hardward detected'
message and it doesn't appear anywhere on the computer).
There are no drivers with this camcorder as windows is
supposed to recognize it as soon as you plug it in. Any
suggestions? Thanks!

I have down loaded my pictures many times, all of a sudden my computer doesn't recognize my camera any more. I have down loaded the software (3) times and still no response. I have Windows XP and a Olympus C-720 camera. What can I do to get it to recognise the USB again

Thanks
