  • 2. FIX SyncToy 1.4 Exception FIX
The SyncToy exceptions are caused by the 1.4 installer placing files into a different directory than the 1.1 and 1.2 installers. Scheduled Tasks created with 1.1 and 1.2 point to the outdated files, which are trying to run with the data files created by 1.4 in MyDocs/SyncToy. The fix is listed below. Its cut from another thread. -owen I noticed that the exception lists version 1.2 of the SyncToyEngine.dll (1.1 in your case paul). I checked the path of SyncToy from my Start Menu, the one placed here by the 1.4 installer, and noticed it points to C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\SyncToy\ The previous install, SyncToy 1.2, placed SyncToy in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\SyncToy The files there were not updated by the 1.4 installer, and hence the scheduled task was trying to run with version 1.2, and using the data files created by SyncToy 1.4.. bad news. I simplied copy the contents of the first folder in LocalSets\AppData\Synctoy to the progfiles\synctoy directory, and my scheduled tasks ran as they should without errors or corruption. -owen
  • 3. Picture It! 9 software download?
I have Microsoft Picture It! 9 Photo Premium on my original computer (Gateway 710S desktop running Windows XP) and REALLY like the program for the editing of my digital pictures. I just acquired an additional computer (Compaq Presario notebook running Windows XP), which apparently doesn't have it. Where can I find a download, or is it possible to copy the program from my old computer to my new one? -- Thank you.

What software are you using? Go the web site of the software provider and look around
for an update.

3.Error message when trying to burn files to cd

Recently I had many problems with there being no space in my hard drive and
every time it was time to burn a cd I would go through my programs and delete
some that I believed I didnt use anymore to free space so I could burn a cd.
I believe I deleted a program that was there for media player or to simply
burn a cd. Windows media player still works I could listen to music but I
cant burn files to the cds. Now when I try to burn a cd I get an error
message saying "Encountered a problem while burning the file to the disc"
when I click web help the error message says "Cannot burn file to cd", error
message C00D10DA. I also get an original error code 80040155 but it says
error message not available. Now I believe there is a program that I didnt
know was associated with window media player that I might have deleted. If
you could let me know about certain programs that are needed to burn cds like
I use, to please let me know. I am running on a Windows XP Home edition and
the latest version of window media player 11.

4.Trying to burn a 4meg wma file to CD

I have already created four coasters trying to burn a 4 meg language course
file to a CD. WMP records and counts up from 0 to 100% in approx 4 to 8
minutes and then shoves the CD back at me far short of burning/recording the
whole file. I am a newbie. Someone please tell me where I am going wrong.
Are there some parameters that have to be set in order for WMP to record the
whole 4 meg file to the CD? Thank you very much for any help here.
