  • 3. Dual Monitor Setup Issues
I've grabbed an old video card from around the house, an S3 ViRGE and an IBM P70 Monitor. My other video card is an Intel 82845G/.... Graphics Controller that is integrated w/ the system, running a 19 LCD. I have switched the BIOS to load the PCI video card automatically first, and w/ the other one disabled, it runs fine. When I try to enable or reinstall the integrated card, the system runs so slow I basically cannot do anything and have to reboot and disable it. According to task manager System is taking up 99 percent of the CPU when I do this. I have a Pentium 4 at 2Ghz and 256 MB Ram. Is this just not enough power, can these video cards not do this, or am I just totally doing something wrong? Any help would be awesome.
  • 4. Media Player Crashing IE
Help! About 2 months ago, after a routine updating of the Windows XP security issues, my media player suddenly crashes IE every time something tries to open in a popup OR on the page itself. It also crashes Netscape. The ONLY way I can watch streaming video is with Winamp, Real Player and the like. ANY suggestions???
  • 5. sys crashes
I upgrade my PC with an Audiophile 2496 sound card: but the sistem now is instable, I receive blu screen DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA, kmixer.sys, nv4_mini.sys, wmp.dll, portcls.sys and other "random" driver errors... I've get the latest drivers for video card, updated the bios etc. I'm in a not good situation: with my old sound blaster I could configure a system in an half hour, now when I reinstall the system I should update, reinstall etc a lot of driver and at the end no one of them work! What is the problem? tankyou Nick

SONY camera recognized, by no video is tranferred to Movie Maker

Postby RFZE » Fri, 22 Oct 2004 07:07:04 GMT

I can successfully connect my SONY DV camera to my HP laptop via Firewire (it
is recognized by the PC), and controls in Windows Movie Maker operate the
camera. However, I cannot successfully get video transferred to the PC.

Either nothing shows in the preview window (black screen) or I seem to
capture a single frame - and then nothing more.

Anyone have any ideas what is going wrong? Thanks.

3.Sony Cameras and Movie Maker

After shooting exceptional footage on an upscale sony
camcorder I find the rendered product to be of marginal
quality. They are clearly darker and less sharp than the
source and I find that the action seen in the project
phase and the finished movie periodically freezes or
accelerates. I've seen some references to these issues on
the Papa John MVP site but I have not found a concise
listing of issues and solutions. I also own but have
never used Adobe Premiere. Can one use the footage
transferred to computer in Movie Maker 2 as a source to
redo the movie with Premiere. Advice sought.

4.Movie maker not recognising Sony camera

I have a Sony DCR-HC15E Handy cam. I am having problems connecting to it
using my IEEE cable. Sometimes it works (Ihave previously downloaded through
it), but the past few months I could not get it to connect.

As soon as I say "start capturing" it captures but it captures nothing. Then
when I say "stop", it says that it had a problem.

Please help!!
