  • 5. Can't open programs--"Dangerously Low on Resources"
    When I have attempted to open some windows programs including Word 2000 the program won't open and instead I get a message that the system is "dangerously low on resources." Despite closing all of the programs show in the desk top dialogue box, I still get this error message, even after closing Explorer. This is new behavior on my laptop a Dell Inspiron 3700. Anyone know how to fix? Thanks

The Office Assistant on my Word 2000 program won't appear, 
and I get an error message telling me to re-load it from 
my Word 2000 CD.  Did that, several times, still no office 
assistant.
HELP!
